WHAT IS IT
IEA Litoral is an interdisciplinary research institute that selects and receives to live in Santa Fe every year researchers and research teams of the UNL itself and foreigners from different continents, cultures, languages and religions in all areas of knowledge and the arts.
IEA Litoral is an University Based advanced study institute that has a vocation of openness to the community that is reflected in its concern for global problems, with a strong local impact, its concern for the improvement of the conditions of local life and for contributing to medium and long-term planning at local and regional level. The Institute for Advanced Studies of the Coast (IEA Litoral) was created to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on major contemporary problems, through a strong commitment to the internationalization of research, through the insertion and creation of research networks and the exchange of researchers from different geographies and cultures.
It is constituted on a base institutional alliance between the UNL and the Government of the City of Santa Fe, which is reflected in its constant concern to address the global problems that have a strong local and regional impact. The IEA has a vocation of openness to the community, for which it has an Economic and Social Council, thus ensuring the existence of a high level of sensitivity on the part of the agenda and policy of research and scientific and artistic activities towards the local and regional problems; and permanent dialogue with social actors, social forces and social movements of the city and the region. The IEA is an institutional organization that seeks to offer resident researchers an ideal environment for research that favors creativity, marked by freedom, tranquility and absence of other obligations for resident researchers associated with the teaching and research activity, outside the development of his research project at IEA Litoral. It is created with the firm will to build a multicultural intellectual community, cosmopolitan and of academic excellence, that favors dialogue, conversation and exchange with open borders.
OPERATING REGULATIONS PRIORITY TOPICS
The selection of resident researchers takes place around annual thematic nuclei established by the IEA Litoral, which should be oriented to local needs and be highly sensitive to the local and regional agenda connected to global issues and issues. The process for the selection of the priority issues of IEA Litoral is triennial and is carried out in accordance with Annex I of the regulation.
